The content on this site is for general information. It is not legal, financial or professional advice.

We check school dates against each council's published calendar and record the date we checked. Councils and schools can still change dates, and some schools have local holidays that councils do not list.

Before you book a holiday, arrange childcare or make any other decision, check the dates with your school or council.

Independence

Scotonomics is independent. We are not part of, or endorsed by, any Scottish council, the Scottish Government, Education Scotland or Qualifications Scotland. Names of these bodies are used only to describe where information comes from.

We work to keep the site accurate and up to date, but we cannot guarantee that it is. As far as the law allows, we are not liable for any loss or cost from using the site. This includes travel or childcare booked on dates shown here.

Our tools, such as the school leaving date tool, apply published rules to the details you enter. Results are a guide. Your school or council can confirm what applies to your child.
