East Dunbartonshire Council runs the schools in Bearsden, Milngavie, Bishopbriggs, Kirkintilloch, Lenzie and the Campsie villages. Pupils went back on Monday 17 August 2026, after two in-service days. The next break is the October week, from Monday 12 to Friday 16 October.
Friday 9 October is an in-service day, so pupils get ten days off in a row. Schools close for Christmas after Friday 18 December and reopen on Tuesday 5 January 2027. February brings a short break on Monday 15 and Tuesday 16, then an in-service day on Wednesday 17.
Easter falls early in 2027. Good Friday and Easter Monday are a separate long weekend from 26 to 29 March. The main Easter break then runs from Monday 5 to Friday 16 April.
There are five in-service days in 2026/27. The last one is on Thursday 6 May 2027, three days after the May Day holiday. The May weekend closes schools on Friday 28 and Monday 31 May.
The session ends on Wednesday 30 June 2027. The council has also published 2027/28 dates. Pupils return on Monday 16 August 2027.
