East Renfrewshire Council runs schools in Barrhead, Neilston, Giffnock, Clarkston, Busby, Eaglesham and Newton Mearns. Pupils went back on Wednesday 12 August 2026, after two in-service days. The September weekend closed schools on Friday 25 and Monday 28 September.
The next break is the October week, from Monday 12 to Friday 16 October. Friday 9 October is an in-service day, so pupils finish on Thursday 8 October. Christmas runs from Monday 21 December to Monday 4 January, with pupils back on Tuesday 5 January 2027.
The February break is short: Monday 15 and Tuesday 16, then an in-service day on Wednesday 17. Easter is early in 2027. Good Friday and Easter Monday give a long weekend from 26 to 29 March.
The spring break follows later, from Monday 5 to Friday 16 April. There are five in-service days in 2026/27. The last is Thursday 6 May 2027.
The May weekend closes schools on Friday 28 and Monday 31 May. The session ends on Friday 25 June 2027. Calderwood Lodge Primary has its own holiday arrangements, which the council publishes separately.
